I am a third year majoring in Youth and Social Innovation (YSI) and History. I am from Staunton, VA. I heard about Rise Together through one of my classes at Curry. I joined Rise Together because the program allows me to work and learn with youths in a dynamic environment using an innovative model. RT offers me the ability to give back to my community and gain valuable classroom experience. For this year, my goal is to make an impact on the students in the program. If I can encourage just one student to pursue their educational dreams, then my time in this program will be well spent.
